In his latest film, Laurent Chevallier follows African music band Fölifö during their artist residency at the jazz school in Marciac, France, and then the young students from Marciac as they travel to Guinea to meet with the band. This musical exchange turns out to be an unforgettable experience for the young people and becomes an initiatory journey for both groups, one discovering a continent, the other exploring the African roots of jazz music.

In doing so, she resolves to be the younger girl’s big sister. A deeply moving account of immigration.
