Festival PleinLaBobine

School students in action during the Plein la Bobine festival!

The Press Class

This year, our embedded reporters will be a class of third-year students from the Secondary School of Murat le Quaire and a class from the Les Saules Primary School in Collégien (near Paris).

Their reports, supervised by teacher Nicole Pavoni and a press professional, will be available on the “Dix-15” website which features press work made by young students from schools in the Clermont-Ferrand area with the support of the CRDP d’Auvergne (www.10-15.com), and on the festival website www.pleinlabobine.com

Under the supervision of: Dominique Duthuit, journalist specialised in cultural events for children

In co-operation with the Brest European Short Film Festival…

For the 5th time, Plein la Bobine will host a group of secondary school students from the Brest area, invited by the Brest European Short Film Festival. They will view the three programmes of shorts in competition and once back they will present their own selection of shorts to be screened in November in the youth programme of the Brest European Short Film Festival. – www.filmcourt.fr

An exchange programme with the International Film Festival Cine-Jeune :

The Plein la Bobine festival is happy to welcome a class from the Corrette Primary School in St-Quentin (in the Aisne department) to cooperate with a class from the Guyot Dessaigne School in Billom (in the Auvergne region). The festival will be the culmination of a year-long common project which started last September; later this year, they will be the school jury for the International Film Festival Cine-Jeune in October 2008.

A partnership with the Auvergne-Sancy Secondary School in Murat le Quaire

The Auvergne-Sancy Secondary School and the “AFFE” organisation have come together in a long-term project of art and culture in education aimed at all the school pupils. Throughout the school year, all classes have had an opportunity to meet film professionals and carry out a project on moving pictures. In this context, first-year pupils have contributed to decorating the festival’s Book Corner.

School Video Meetings

To promote the ever-increasing film production by school pupils, the festival will offer three programmes of films made by children:

  • from age 3: Tuesday 17 June, 2pm in the video room of the Casino in La Bourboule

  • from age 12: Monday 16 June, 2pm in the video room of the Casino in La Bourboule

In partnership with the “Rectorat d’Académie de Clermont-Ferrand” (local education authority), a discussion about films made by schoolchildren will take place after the screenings. Hosted by a film professional and a member of the festival team.
