George Pal is a master of animation cinema from Hungary. His animated puppets, the famous "Puppetoons", deeply influenced the cinematographic world from the 30s to the 60s. After working in Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Germany and the Netherlands, the genius went to Hollywood and walked off with 5 Oscars - no less! The precursors of Wallace and Gromit, George Pal's puppets - made of wood and rubber - haven't dated at all as you will see in this outstanding showing. Meet Jasper and his friends in wonderful adventures - thanks to their creator's patience!
Presented films: Jasper's in a Jam, Little Broadcast, Mr Strauss Takes a Waltz, Philips Broadcast, Philips Cavalcade, The Ship of the Ether, Tulips Shall Grow.
